What differentiates BetterCloud from other similar products?

BetterCloud stands out because it can automate tasks across all your different work apps at once, while most other tools only handle one platform at a time.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect? BetterCloud eliminates the tedium of manual SaaS admin work by automating what used to take hours

What do you dislike most about this product?

BetterCloud has a really steep learning curve that makes it hard to get started. The biggest complaint is that it takes weeks of training just to do basic tasks like setting up automated workflows for new employees or security rules. Many companies end up hiring expensive consultants just to get it working properly.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

BetterCloud is best for larger companies with lots of different work apps and IT staff to set it up.

What differentiates BetterCloud from other similar products?

One scenario that really highlights its value is offboarding employees. In the past, it felt like a scavenger hunt to revoke access across multiple platforms like Salesforce, Office 365, and Slack. With BetterCloud, we automated the process. Now, when HR initiates an offboarding, workflows take care of deprovisioning accounts, transferring data, and ensuring no sensitive information lingers. It’s not just faster—it’s bulletproof.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The granular controls are what I lean on the most. You can craft workflows that are as complex or simple as you need, whether it’s setting up role-based permissions for new hires or enforcing security policies. The real-time alerts for suspicious activity are another gem. We once caught an unauthorized data export attempt on Google Drive because BetterCloud flagged it immediately.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I dislike nothing

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

The impact on our IT operations has been huge. We’ve cut onboarding time for new employees by half and reduced human errors in critical processes like compliance monitoring. Audits have gone from stress-inducing to a breeze because everything’s documented and easily accessible. BetterCloud didn’t just save us time—it changed how we think about managing our SaaS ecosystem.

What differentiates BetterCloud from other similar products?

BetterCloud is extremely simple to set up and use, and has native integration with a lot of SaaS apps. The functionality with some of the native integrations is limited though and workflows are slowly getting better, but need more work. It's nice to be able to automate some user lifecycle management tasks within a SaaS based no-code platform.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The workflows and how powerful they can be when done right.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Two separate consoles and slow development in the right areas.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend this for an SMB that doesn't have a solution for onboarding, offboarding and mid user lifecycle management, but be weary of the price tag.
