KO is useful, understandable, and client-focused

What differentiates KnowledgeOwl from other similar products?

The client-provider relationship with KnowledgeOwl is distinct from most. The staff at KO is approachable and knowledgeable. They're willing to answer questions or work with you on your knowledge base. They worked with our team earlier this year to enhance and clean up our search feature by gathering data, analyzing and discussing next steps, and giving us the support to implement changes to the search feature that have made the results much more accurate. KO truly listens to clients; the new AI Style Guide Checker was a feature request that I and others sent to the KO team. KO also provides trainings and other support for clients.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Currently, my favorite aspect of KnowledgeOwl is the ability to manage and customize content. With KO's help, we've customized our platform to provide an efficient and effective experience for users that meets our brand and style standards. I greatly enjoyed KO's training about diataxis (an information architecture principle) as well as using icon panels for a visual navigation cue.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Unfortunately, KnowledgeOwl is not by default accessible. You can work with KO staff to make your platform accessible, but it's remediation, not universal design. I'd also like to see a higher character limit in the AI Style Guide Checker, a way to prevent odd formatting issues that can appear when you copy/paste from another document into a KO article, and the ability for categories to appear in search results.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

KnowledgeOwl is a fantastic platform for content management. In my role, I use KO to share and update internal procedures, policies, and documents. The AI Style Guide Checker allows you to upload your company style guide to KO, then have the AI compare your content to that style guide, article by article. It's a great tool for creating consistent, brand-worthy content.

What differentiates KnowledgeOwl from other similar products?

Its simplicity, customizability, search function set it apart. A very easy to use knowledge platform solution for our clients and in-house as well.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Its definitely value for money compared to similar platforms, easy to navigatez has reliable customer support. Has good reporting capabilities i like too.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Its availability of 3rd party resources is a bit limited if you ask me. But that's about it on downsides.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Its a good knowledge management platform. Really reliable, easy to use and navigate. With it you get to manage data and share/access it across the platform easily. It does have it all.
