What differentiates Rubrik Cloud Data Management from other similar products?

Its approach minimizes the complexity often associated with traditional data protection solutions and many legacy solutions that were designed primarily for on-prem environments and adapted for the cloud, Rubrik was built with the cloud in mind. It offers seamless integration with public clouds like AWS, Azure. Rubrik offers built-in ransomware protection by creating immutable backups that can’t be tampered with or encrypted by attackers.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

If I had to highlight my favorite aspect of Rubrik Cloud Data Management, it would be its simplicity and automation. The platform is designed to be intuitive, reducing the complexity often associated with traditional data management solutions. Rubrik automates tasks like backup, recovery, and data archival, which saves time and reduces manual errors. This level of automation makes it a great option for organizations that want to streamline their operations

What differentiates Rubrik Cloud Data Management from other similar products?

The approach on backup is revolutionary from legacy backup systems and a lot easier to manage and maintain.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The granularity of restores is excellent and can be applied to both physical and virtual systems.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Expansion of the solution is challenging and requires moving hardware.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are used to legacy style backup systems like NetBackup and Commvault, take a good look at Rubric. The complexity for our backup environment reduced drastically and restores have become much easier. The device is very flexible and can support many different scenarios.

Virtual Machine Backup Automatically discovers and protects VMs as they come online, move, and change. Production VMs are replicated to a secondary data store.

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Replication for High Availability Beyond secondary copy backup, the solution also manages replication of primary data host-to-host and site-to-site for live failover and high availability.

File Explorer Granular Restore Individual files can be located and restored from backup media without the need for full system mounting and restore.

Backup Monitoring and Reporting Backup and replication are continually monitored for status and effectiveness. Detailed reporting is available on successful and unsuccessful operations.

Deduplication Implementation Deduplication of redundant data blocks is implemented by the solution. Deduplication can be at source, target, or globally (source and target).
