What differentiates XE from other similar products?

XE is one of the most reliable currency converters out there—it pulls real mid-market rates (not the marked-up ones banks use) and has been around forever. It’s best for travellers, freelancers getting paid in foreign currencies, or anyone who needs quick, accurate exchange rates without the fluff.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The XE Currency app is stupidly simple and works offline. I use it every time I travel to check live rates before exchanging cash or haggling with vendors. Saves me from getting ripped off.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Their money transfer service (XE Money Transfer) has sneaky fees if you’re not careful. The exchange rate looks great, but they sometimes charge more than competitors like Wise for smaller transfers. Also, the app’s design feels outdated.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you just need a one-time currency converter, XE is perfect. But if you’re actually sending money abroad often, compare rates with Wise or Revolut first—they’re usually cheaper for transfers.
