What differentiates NetApp SnapMirror from other similar products?

Snapmirror provides very high data availability and quick disaster recovery by rapidly replicating data over the LAN or WAN. By enabling native network compression, data replication occurs quickly while using 50% less network capacity.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Fast data transfer and how simple it is to set up replication are what I love most about NetApp Snapmirror. We can set up replication and begin data transfer in a matter of minutes. Implementing the solution is easy and most important it is stable - It's almost a set it and forget it application.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is nothing to dislike about this software. It is highly dependable and simple to configure.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

SnapMirror works great for building rapid and seamless recovery point objectives and vaulting data for appropriate lengths of time, because it does this so quickly, it is a good fit for hourly copies/replication of data.
