Keep logic clean and structured.

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Retool from other similar products?

It gives pre built UI components like table, forms and charts but still lets write real JavaScript and SQL. That balance is powerful so move fast on the frontend while keeping full flexibility on the backend logic.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It removes the boring, repetitive parts of building internal tools like setting up UI layouts and wiring basic CRUD operations while still giving full control where it actually matters.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Debugging can get tricky. When multiple queries trigger each other or state changes are chained together tracking down the root cause isn't always straightforward. I'd rely on proper file structure, reusable modules and strong typing which isn't as robust here

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Use it to move fast on internal tooling but be deliberate about structure, performance and long term maintainability. If you're treat it like a normal code project with engineering discipline so it'll feel like the most productive tools you use.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Reliable
  • Trustworthy
  • Inspires Innovation

Effective and data focused

Likeliness to Recommend

8 /10

What differentiates Retool from other similar products?

Retool is highly data focused and allows you create dashboards and control accesses. My organization is able to tweak and create dashboards to provide solutions instead of onboarding other platforms to solve that problem. This in turn helps us save cost.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Being able to create dashboards and integrate with external providers.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It can be very slow, especially when querying large data.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Pretty good platform for a small organization.

It integrates seamlessly with databases, APIs and third party services, providing easier connection and management of data from different systems compared with many other platforms.

What do you dislike most about this product?

One major drawback is that it is rather overwhelming for newcomers because of sheer number of features. It may take sometime to fully understand how to use all the tools well.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
