What differentiates Apollo.io from other similar products?

We haven't determined this yet, as Apollo is the first product of its kind we've used... a cursory comparison with a notable competitor tells us they are very similar.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The sheer amount of verified data.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The amount of data is enormous but Apollo desperately needs more tools in helping with AI and workflow automation

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Sequences require work to set up -- make sure you have someone on your team that knows the platform 100%. Also, make sure you have your IT department on board to properly set up your DMARC, DKIM and SPF settings.

Apollo.io stands out for its comprehensive lead database, which provides enriched contact information and advanced search capabilities. It offers robust automation tools for email sequences, making outreach more efficient. I also love the integration with CRM systems streamlining sales workflows for seamless management.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of Apollo.io is how its powerful automation capabilities for email sequences save me time and streamline my outreach process efficiently.

What do you dislike most about this product?

What I dislike most about Apollo.io is the email restriction of 50 emails per 24 hours, which isn’t sufficient for my workload. Additionally, the inability to create attractive templates for campaigns is a limitation.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you value automation and a comprehensive lead database, Apollo.io is an excellent choice for streamlining your sales process.

What differentiates Apollo.io from other similar products?

Strong LinkedIn workarounds built in, data for the contacts easy to find, and easy to add to a cadence/sequence

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Hybrid approach of contact information and outreach automation

What do you dislike most about this product?

You can't just add your own contacts to their sequences without doing an import. So if you're prospecting and find the contact information for your prospect online, but Apollo doesn't have it in their system, you need to put that information into a CSV, and import it, which adds an unnecessary amount of steps for a relatively simple feature. In order to filter your tasks by time zone, you need to know how to reach the advanced filters, which isn't obvious for newer users. While Apollo integrates well with some CRM, the lack of a broader integration offering adds silos and inefficiencies for those who don't use one of 3 CRM.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Apollo is cost effective and has a great resource for prospecting contact information. The functionality of the sales engagement and sales intelligence features is very strong however they don't offer the flexibility of some of the other solutions on the market for both. Make sure you have a plan on how you're going to integrate Apollo as this is probably the biggest area it lacks.
